THE WORK

• Core Power Generation was contracted to carry out the electrical installation/connection of 3 x 2500Kva gas turbine generators in an existing power station in Pyebridge, Derbyshire.
• This included building the main 11Kv switchboard HV connections to to 3 x transformers, all LV connections to ACBs and alternator sub mains to control panels, including all containment works and earthing.
• While on site, Core Power Generation carried out additional works including all generator radiator control cabling and alterations to the small wiring.
• This job was challenging due to working with existing materials and completing within a short time scale to meet G59 requirements.
• At Core Power Generation we understand the critical importance of such projects, and as a consequence are able to adapt quickly and efficiently to our customer needs. On this particular contract, the project team stayed on location for six weeks in order to complete on schedule and to our consistently high standards.
